Our Best Answer - Are there any resources to help me prepare for graduate school?

Graduate School Planning and Preparation

Deciding whether or not graduate school is right for you may seem challenging enough. Yet, once you decide, the preparation process can be quite daunting. Your faculty advisor can guide you in this process.  In addition, two resources available to students are Cal Poly Pomona's Career Center, and the bi-annual California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education.

To help you with these decisions, planning, and preparation, Cal Poly Pomona's Career Center has a wide variety of resources to support you as you pursue the next level of your education.

For more information, please visit the Career Center's Graduate School Planning webpage, and/or schedule an appointment to meet with a career counselor, for advising and/or help with the process.

There are many different resources, including but not limited to:

  • Grad school & major exploration
  • Assistance with applications, personal statements, or other documents
  • Mock interviews
  • Workshops & practice tests
  • Field-specific planning
  • Information about entrance exam preparation: GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT & PCAT
  • Grad school forums

To meet with a Career Center counselor, please log into Handshake and schedule an appointment.
